Connected World Security is a blog devoted to the Internet of Things (IoT) and the security issues they bring to our connected world. Doug Pluta is a 20-year networking professional who started his career with 3Com and Bay Networks before joining Cisco in 1998. He has managed numerous projects including Service Provider hardware and software documentation, business systems architecture and customer and partner assurance initiatives.

His security expertise includes managing the development of Cisco’s CCNA and CCNP security exams. He is currently a Security Analyst with Cisco’s Service Provider Video Software and Solutions (SPVSS) Operational Security (OpSec) group and is focused on security issues related to the Connected Home, Pay TV, Video Streaming and Digital Rights Management (DRM).
